Wonderful bastard – ruff

Ruff became an iconic live bait in catching not only pike, but even a good perch caught on a ruff.

In general, a ruff is considered to be not very attractive to a predator live bait. Only the burbot is bleeding at the sight and smell of this prickly and slimy representative of perches. For a nocturnal predator there is no tastier fish than a ruff, despite its thorns and snotty. Continue reading →
