Elastic band on a predator
Classic donka with rubber shock absorber. What tackle consists of and how it is caught.
As you know, the tackle consists of a stock of the main fishing line, undergrowth with leashes and hooks, a rubber shock absorber, more often the notorious “Hungarian” of circular cross section or multi-layer durable rubber 10-12 meters long. On strong currents, a longer shock absorber strongly winds and often breaks. Having secured the reel with the main fishing line and the undergrowth on the shore, the cargo is usually delivered by boat to a critical rubber tension (usually 30-50 meters) and is designated as a buoy. Then, having made hooks with mouth-watering “sandwiches” from dung worms and maggots, the fishing line is carefully lowered into the water. You can voice the bite with a bell. This is for the night. But during the day, they hold the fishing line in their hand and tease the sabrefish with long pulls, because this sly fish loves the game of bait, like perch, on occasion, it will not refuse to catch the fry. Therefore, hooks with a bright shiny finish are desirable for tooling. Bites feel like blunt jerks or sudden weighting of gear. Some anglers, having felt such a push, calmly spit around and choose tackle only after the third or even the fourth bite. What, they say, idle water to shed? And then a garland of a fat sabrefish trembles immediately on the drawn gear. Unless, of course, one or the other breaks …
Donka elastic band for chekhony
It is better to connect all three components of the gum through the clockwork rings with swivels with the help of paper clips and fasteners and keep them separately. This is especially true of a rubber shock absorber, which does not tolerate contact with metal rusting sooner or later. In order to avoid twisting the tackle, in addition to the swivels connecting the compound “elastic bands”, you can put small transparent buttons or small swivels on the undergrowth and tie leashes to them. So that they do not slide down the line, their progress is limited on both sides by rubber knots.
Well, here is a brief summary of the classic donkey with a rubber shock absorber. Another thing is tackle, designed to bite another predatory fish or the same sabrefish, but of a completely different size than those individuals that are caught by a worm and maggot. Zhivtsovaya “gum” is no less effective tackle than the same donka with a rubber shock absorber on the czech. And the main advantage of both gears is the ability to deliver the bait to the fishing point without casting, which creates noise and waves on the water that frighten off the predator, especially during the summer heat, when all the fish are full and careful. In addition, with the help of the “elastic band” you can “pull” the gear on yourself and vice versa, which makes it possible to move the fry or live bait on the hook from one place to another within the selected line where the live bait is installed. And this line is usually chosen along the edge of a strip of aquatic vegetation extending towards the depth, as is often the case on a lake, or along the border of a sand spit that borders a pit behind a spit, which is more typical of a river. Both this and another place can be called attractive for parking and hunting places of predators.
Let’s start with the Volga open spaces. Usually Chekhon near the village of Kokshaysk is caught from Sidelnikovsky Island. This is a sandy island, the coastline of which towards the Volga channel is a sloping beach that smoothly goes into the water. About thirty meters from the shore, the sand spit goes down and forms bumps in the form of eyebrows and pits, especially deep closer to the fairway. If the “elastic band” on a chekhon with bait from a worm and maggot mainly involves the capture of fish up to three hundred grams and rarely more, then a larger fish can take with a nozzle of live tops and bleak. Moreover, the grasp of a large chekhon can take place on a wild fish, if you make active “pulls” of the main fishing line of the “gum”.
At night, the tackle is best equipped with a small weight at the end of the undergrowth with leashes. And here, the calculation will already be made on a large czech, which at dusk goes into the middle and bottom layers of water, as well as on pike perch, perch and pike. Therefore, it is advisable to attach a variety of live bait to the hooks: fry, bleak, roach, minnows. Where larger live bait will be planted, it is better to put metal leashes. Can take a pike.
On the lakes, as already mentioned, the “gum” with live bait is placed along the grass. All leashes should be metal.
