Fishing on the bulldozer

The technique of fishing on the “bulldozer”. What kind of fish is being caught. The similarities and differences of the “bulldozer” from non-mountable mormyshek. The versatility of the bait.

Despite the strange name, which implies something stupid, absurd, this bait is nevertheless very effective in catching a variety of predators. It can be a perch with a palm and a weighty humpback weighing a kilogram. Any other predator will not refuse the bulldozer. And here there can also be a large variation in the weight and size of the predator attacking the bait – from the mumps and gnarls to large predators. Something “bastard” fascinates the fish, and it grabs a clearly large bait for it.

“Balda”, so to speak, is part of the family of non-muzzle mormyshek and most of all resembles such lures as “devil”, “goat”, “jellyfish”. And well, if this bait will always be in the organizer of the fisherman.

What does the “bastard” look like on clawsless ones and how is it different?
This is a fairly large and active bait, equipped with additional elements, which are cambric, shersinki, beads, that is, all that have no claws. But the “bulldozer” is more active and asynchronous in the movements of these elements, which literally enrages an active predator and it will attack if the bait is in its field of vision and the predator is not sluggish. Asynchronous play of additional elements is achieved in one case by stringing cambrices and beads on only one hook. In another case, the hooks are at different distances along the height of the body of the bait. And here we have to stop on the manufacture of bait.

What does the “bastard” look like on clawsless ones and how is it different?

The body of the bait can be a lead casting with a hole at the top, a rod of randol, copper, a small-caliber bullet, even a cap from the handle. In a word, it can be everything that is at hand and can serve to make bait.

Usually a fishing line or a flexible metal leash is threaded into the upper hole of the body of the bait, on which a double is freely suspended, and more often two single hooks with cambrices, beads, and wool.

Bait versatility
“Balda” is a universal bait, which can be successfully caught both in summer and in winter. Only in the summer the fishing principle is used, similar to fishing on a side nod. That is, a fast action rod is used, preferably with a side nod. Why fast action? So it will be easier to manage the bait and fish for large fish. A whip rod, of course, plays along with the bait better, but it will be more difficult to fish out.
