White fish on tap
While there is almost nowhere to catch on the river, and where you can go fishing in the spring on the spill. Tackle, bait and bait.
During this period of great water, there are as many fishermen on the coast as if a full-fledged summer fishing season had opened. These, of course, are eccentric yearned for a float fishing rod. There is almost nowhere to catch on the river. Everywhere there is a raging current that will carry away any tackle, even if you put half a kilogram sinker. Yes, even with a kilogram. The force of the spring stream is too great. And with an increase in the weight of the feeder, its area usually increases, which means that the strength of the water will be greater. While on the feeder, while in the riverbed, it is impractical to catch. Hooks will cling to bushes standing in the water and covered with water. Sloping beaches are also located in the water, which approached the forest, and somewhere entered it by lowlands and ravines.
We catch in the “flooded” forests
If you go through such a flooded forest, then in warmed shallow bays you can see the movement in the water, or even a splash of some not the smallest fish. And here everything is clear. Here, in the flooded forest, firstly, it is full of all kinds of edible little things, and these are insects, larvae and worms that crawled out of the holes. And secondly, the water in such places warms up on the shallows in summer. If you abandon a fishing rod with a hooked larva of a bark beetle here, you can get to the bite of roach, roach, hodgepodge, scavenger and other so-called “white” fish. Sometimes a very decent fish will hook. But this is rare. It’s too shallow here and the fish sees a fisherman with a fishing rod. In such a place it is better to catch with a long fishing rod, moving away from the water edge as far as possible. And go to the bushes and find a place where there is some kind of furrow at the bottom at least about a meter deep. But deeper than one and a half meters, the fish is unlikely to take. In deep ravines flooded with water, the water temperature almost corresponds to the temperature of the water in the riverbed.
If the flooded forest is located next to the crucian pond, then here you can catch spring crucians, who also went out to bask in the sun. The problem happens with casts among the bushes. It is simply impossible to catch with a fishing rod. Therefore, in such places it is better to use a fishing rod with a side nod. A lateral nod is needed to indicate a bite, which is more noticeable with a nod taken to the side or spring. It is better to pick a nod large. You can use the so-called smelt gatehouse with a bright and fairly large ball. With the stiffness that is visible at first glance, it is quite sensitive, however, it will not work like a nod with a small and light mormyshka. But this in fishing, for example, crucian carp, and is not required. The main bite is clearly visible.
Snap fishing rod with side nod
The equipment of such a fishing rod with a side nod is made miniature, but to a certain limit. It would be possible to use coarser tackle for spring fishing in bushes and grass, when hooks are inevitable. But here, in a flooded forest and in shallow lawns, the water is already transparent, unlike the water in the riverbed, where a muddy suspension of clay and earth flows in a powerful stream. Therefore, monophilic fishing line with a diameter of 0.2 mm can be put as the main one, and a fluorocarbon fishing line with a thickness of 0.18-0.2 mm can be used for a leash. Such a thickness of the fishing line is necessary where the Volga crucian carp rises along the river, which happens to be in good condition. In the flooded surroundings of the pond, where crucian carp is not large, finer gear can be used. At the end of the leash, you can tie a small mormyshka of bright colors, but not shiny.
